Engelbert Humperdinck (英格柏漢柏汀克)

1936年5月2日出生，原名為Arnold George Dorsey的英格柏在英國的列斯特(Leicester)長大，50年代曾以藝名Gerry Dorsey試探英國音樂市場，到了60年代初期，不但歌唱事業未見起色，英格柏還罹患結核病，同一時期，樂團出身的經紀人Gordon Mills捧紅了湯姆瓊斯(Tom Jones)，67年Mills決定拉拔老友，首先將Geroge Dorsey的藝名改成英格柏，並塑造情歌王子的形象，終於以英國金榜5週冠軍曲 Release Me 打開知名度，排行鋒頭意外壓制住披頭四炫風，美國也奪得第4名，亞軍曲 There Goes My Everything 、5週冠軍曲 The Last Waltz 陸續發威，英格柏瞬間晉升為英國的超級歌王 Am I That Easy To Forget (季軍) A Man Without Love (亞軍) Les Bicyclettes De Belsize (#5)、The Way It Used To Be (季軍)、Winter World Of Love (#7)一連在68、69年間進駐英國排行，70年代起轉戰拉斯維加斯秀場，吸引爆滿人潮,巡迴演唱十多年後，87年以專輯「Remember I Love You」重返唱片市場，進入90年代，英格柏仍不時在德國、西班牙、義大利錄製專輯，並持續行走全球各地散發現場魅力，96年還玩酷為MTV頻道動畫人物主演的電影「癟四與大頭蛋」灌錄一首女同性戀情歌 Lesbian Seagull ，甚至與幫Whitney Houston亞軍曲 t’s Not Right，But It’s OK 任混音製作的組合Thunderpuss 2000合作舞曲混音專輯，99年再以Quando Quando Quando(Tell Me When) 流露長青風采，征戰英國金榜TOP 40。
